The International Game Developers Association (IGDA) has appointed three new members to its board of directors.

Tiziano Giardini (34BigThings), Jennifer Estaris (Ustwo Games), and Dr. Pedro Zambon (Utrecht University) are the latest games professionals to join the nonprofit association.

Giardini is a producer at Italian studio 34BigThings in addition to program director at gaming accelerator Quickload.

He co-founded IGDA Italy in Turin, and is also a member of the IGDA Incubator & Accelerator Special Interest Group.

Estaris is a game director at Ustwo Games, having overseen Monument Valley 3, Monument Valley 2’s The Lost Forest, and Subway Surfers.

She volunteers with the IGDA Climate Special Interest Group, and serves on Playing for the Planet’s advisory council and co-chairs its storytelling committee.

Zambon is a researcher, industry consultant, and advocate for sustainable growth of game development in Latin America and the Global South.

He is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie postdoctoral fellow at Utrecht University’s Collaborative Technologies Lab, and founder of Savegame.dev.

Zambon is also the co-founder and vice chair of the IGDA Incubation & Acceleration Special Interest Group.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Tiziano, Jennifer, and Pedro to the IGDA Board,” said IGDA executive director Jakin Vela. “Each of them brings an inspiring commitment to equity, innovation, and global collaboration.

“Their combined expertise will help us build a stronger, more inclusive future for game developers worldwide.”

Four members will be departing from the board: Margaret Krohn, Natasha Skult, Rami Ismail, and Guy Blomberg.

In April, the International Game Developers Foundation (IGDA-F) appointed Shannon Loftis as the new chair of its board of directors.

Loftis replaced Ed Fries, who stepped down from his position but remains on the board.

The IGDA-F is a charitable organisation connected to the IGDA. It supports underrepresented and margainlised game developers with development programs, mentorships, scholarships, and game jams.
