Rapper and entrepreneur 50 Cent has been cast in the upcoming Street Fighter movie as Balrog.

The news comes as a spree of other casting announcements for Legendary Picture’s fighting game adaptation are officially announced in the lead up to the 2026 film. This includes Callina Liang as Chun-Li, as well as Andrew Schulz as Dan Hibiki.

That’s not all, Jason Momoa is set to play Blanka, confirming reports that he was being eyed for the role. The Hollywood Reporter has also confirmed Noah Centineo as Ken, WWE superstar Roman Reign as Akuma, martial artist-actor Andrew Koji as “lead character” Ryu. Orville Peck also joins them as Vega.

Sagat got a new trailer last night too, a big day for Street Fighter fans.Watch on YouTube

50 Cent confirmed the casting on X, stating: “No Days off, Let’s work all roads lead to Shreveport Boom.”

This is far from Mr 50 Cent’s first movie role. All the way back in 2005, he starred in Get Rich or Die Tryin’, and somewhat recently sharped his action chops in Expend4bles, as well as Den of Thieves 2: Pantera.

The Street Fighter movie got a new director earlier this year in Kitao Sakurai. His work includes Bad Trip and the Eric Andre show. So he and 50 Cent have movie experience, Just a Lil Bit (sorry).

In other Street Fighter news, we got a look at Sagat in Street Fighter 6’s World Tour mode last night! No extended gameplay as of yet, though you can expect to see Sagat in-action long before the upcoming film releases. You can check him out in the trailer above. Sagat’s set to release on 5th August.
