Nintendo has announced that pricing changes will roll out to a range of Nintendo Switch consoles and accessories in the US next week.

In a post published on August 1, the company announced that on August 3, “pricing for the original Nintendo Switch family of systems and products will change in the United States based on market conditions.”

The company has confirmed these pricing changes will impact the Nintendo Switch, the Nintendo Switch OLED, and the Nintendo Switch Lite – and “select” Nintendo Switch accessories.

A “certain” selection of Nintendo Switch 2 accessories, select amiibo, and the Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo, will also be affected by these pricing changes.

While Nintendo hasn’t confirmed what these pricing changes will be, Wario64 on Xspotted that Target has already rolled out a price hike that sees the original Switch bumped up to $339.99 (up 13.3% from $299.99), the Switch OLED price increased to $399.99 (up 14.29% from $349.99), and the Switch Lite’s price up to $229.99 (up 15% from $199.99).

While the price of the Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch Online membership, and games for both the original and newer system will remain unchanged for now, Nintendo warns that “price adjustments may be necessary in the future.”

The announcement comes hot on the heels of Nintendo’s financial report for the three months ending June 30, in which the company reported its quarterly revenue had more than doubled.
