Bloober’s next game, Cronos: The New Dawn, will be released this autumn – presumably in time for Halloween.

The Polish studio’s follow-up to Silent Hill 2 was shown at today’s Xbox Games Showcase, though it will be released across Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC.

The news was accompanied by a new gameplay trailer you can watch below.

Cronos: The New Dawn | Survive The NestWatch on YouTube

Cronos: The New Dawn is Bloober’s first original survival horror game, taking heavy inspiration from its Silent Hill 2 remake as well as Resident Evil and Dead Space.

I had a preview of the game at this year’s Game Developer Conference, where I got to see its unique merge mechanic. If enemies aren’t properly killed they can merge with others to boost their abilities – it reminded me of the Crimson Heads from the GameCube Resident Evil remake.

The game’s setting is inspired by inspired by the brutalist architecture of Krakow’s Nowa Huta and is heavily influenced by sci-fi themes.
