New content for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is being explored by the development team as part of future updates.

On social media, Sandfall Interactive stated it’s “currently exploring a wide range of future improvements – from accessibility features to new content and all sorts of bits and bobs we’re actively assessing”.

This will also include expanded localisation options – the game currently has French and English voices, and subtitles in multiple European and Asian languages.

“While we don’t have specific timelines or confirmed languages to share just yet, we wanted to let you know that it’s very much on our radar,” the post concludes.

Requests from fans in the replies range from Arabic and Ukrainian localisation, to a photo mode, new story DLC, and of course more swimsuit options.

Bonjour!

We’re currently exploring a wide range of future improvements — from accessibility features to new content and all sorts of bits and bobs we’re actively assessing.

Naturally, this also includes expanded localisation options!

Previously, director Guillaume Broche told The Washington Post the studio was focused on improving the existing game rather than developing DLC, following comments from lead writer Jennifer Svedberg-Yen that “chances are good” of future DLC.

Broche also stated a Switch 2 version of the game “could be interesting”, so perhaps that’s part of the “bits and bobs” being assessed.

At the end of May, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 hit a fitting milestone of 3.3m copies sold since its release the previous month.

It’s proven an exceptionally popular game, so more content on the way in a future update is very much welcome.
