Onimusha: Way of the Sword has made an appearance at Summer Game Fest, courtesy of a gameplay trailer. It’s set to release in 2026 on the PS5, Xbox, and Steam, and will be playable at Gamescom.

This trailer showcases a variety of combat encounters, some of the techniques at your disposal, and a suite of daunting looking enemies that you’ll have to cut and slice your way through.

We also get a peak at a rival of sorts, who crosses swords with Musashi and talks a lot of trash while doing so.

Onimusha Way of the Sword was first revealed at The Game Awards last year, and took the spotlight as one of the highlights of that show. Earlier this year we got the first peek at gameplay, which is well worth checking out if you’re hungry for everything Onimusha.
