It now seems even more likely that Bethesda’s current Xbox console exclusive Starfield will launch on PlayStation 5.

Over the weekend, a new work-in-progress Creation which adds decals to the game’s main ship was listed on Bethesda’s Starfield mod website, featuring a PlayStation logo joining the usual PC and Xbox decals.

This creation now appears to have been pulled from the website, adding credibility to its upcoming PS5 status, however a screenshot showing that PlayStation icon can be seen via a screenshot shared on the Starfield subreddit (below).

Earlier this month, Bethesda stated it had “a lot of exciting things planned” for Starfield this year, so perhaps a PS5 release is part of these plans. After all, Xbox games coming to PlayStation is hardly new news.

Joining the likes of Sea of Thieves, Grounded and Pentiment, Microsoft’s Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Doom: The Dark Ages and Forza Horizon 5 are all set to make their Xbox debut later this year.

They have added the Playstation logo to a creation. (I think they are beta testers, the logo only appears on one creation)

As for Starfield more generally, Bethesda’s Todd Howard previously confirmed the space RPG would receive at least one more expansion after Shattered Space – though there’s currently no word on when that will turn up.

On Shattered Space’s debut last year, we awarded Starfield’s first expansion three stars.

“While Shattered Space is quite possibly one of Starfield’s most enjoyable storylines to date, it once again struggles to offer any real consequences,” our Katharine wrote in Eurogamer’s Starfield: Shattered Space review. “And its new setting feels woefully underutilised.”
