Services provider Room 8 Group has announced the appointment of two executive roles following an expansion in its technology and game development offerings.

Guillaume Carmona has been promoted from VP of productions to VP of game development. Carmona will focus on leading Room 8’s “creative offering, enhancing production quality, and driving [its] strategic initiative to ensure exceptional project outcomes.”

Carmona previously worked at Ubisoft for 14 years, and was studio director at Ubisoft Montpellier for four years.

Yann Le Tensorer has been appointed VP of technology, a role in which he will focus on “optimising production pipelines, fostering creativity, and advancing the company’s R&D efforts.”

Tensorer also worked at Ubisoft for almost two decades in various positions, and co-founded the French developer Tiwak which was acquired by Ubisoft in 2004.

“As the industry evolves, we’re strengthening both our leadership and operational structures to better serve our partners,” said Room 8 CCO Julien Proux.

“With Guillaume as VP of game production and Yann as VP of technology, we’re reinforcing our commitment to excellence in both creative execution and technical innovation.”

As for Room 8’s expansion of its technology and game development offerings, it has moved from focusing on mobile, PC and console development to a “partner-centric one” in which it will “prioritise tailored solutions to address specific challenges.”

The firm also announced it will be consolidating its Solid Bash and Dragons Lake brands under the Room 8 Group name.

“For 13 years, we’ve been bringing our creative and technical expertise to game development, technology, art, and QA for some of the biggest AAA and AA titles out there,” said Room 8 CEO Anna Kozlova.

“This shift isn’t just about expanding our offering; it’s about ensuring we deliver seamless, end-to-end solutions that truly support our partners at every stage of development.”
