FromSoftware’s ultra hard Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is being adapted into an anime.

Called Sekiro No Defeat, it’s heading exclusively to Crunchyroll and is directed by Kenichi Kutsuna with character design by Takahiro Kishida.

The short clip at tonight’s Gamescom Opening Night Live shows Wolf fighting Genichiro in a field of reeds, one of the most iconic moments from the game. It also hints at other key moments from the game.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice of course won Game of the Year at The Game Awards back in 2019.

At the end of last year, Sony increased its shares in FromSoftware owner Kadokawa in a bid to boost its anime output and co-produce new work. It seems this Sekiro anime is the first effort.
